Theodore Retell Leger, 91, made his final rest on Thursday, October 5, 2023 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Retell Leger was born on September 22, 1932 and grew up in Lawtell, Louisiana. He had a zest for life and a loving personality that was unforgettable. He would speak about his younger years working in the fields and the time he spent as a child with his parents, brothers, sisters, and Big MawMaw. He married his sweetheart, Dorothy, on November 15, 1952. Retell loved to ride horses, and you could often find him around friends riding horses or at a trail ride. He loved his family and enjoyed time laughing, joking, and speaking French with them. He will be most remembered by his funny stories that would always get a good laugh.

His memory will forever be cherished by his loving wife Dorothy Lee Leger, his two children Sandy Wiltz (Glenn) and Sammy Lee Leger, his granddaughters Danielle Doss (Randy) and Dena Wiltz (Olumide Aruwajoye), his great-grandchildren (Heaven Wiltz, EJ Wiltz, Dominic Wiltz Jr., and Sidney Doss), his sister Audrey Cormier, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Retell is preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Margaret, his sisters Dorothy and Hilda, his brothers Auriel and George, and his grandson Dominic Wiltz
