Theresa Guillory Babin, daughter of the late Helen Brinson Guillory and Matthew Guillory, was born on Feb. 6, 1928, in Lake Charles, La.

Theresa passed from this life Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, in Severn, Md. She was a resident of Lake Charles most of her life until 2006 when she moved to be with family in Severn, Md.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Babin; and a son, Terrell Babin. She also was preceded by her brothers, Jewel, Roy and Reuben Guillory; and one sister, Pearl Mitchell.

In loving memory, she leaves three daughters, Jacqueline (Keith) Ward of Mandeville, La., Geralyn Babin of Houston, Texas, and Marva Babin of Severn, Md., and one son, Mark Babin of Severn, Md. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tonisha(Torrance) Murray, Daphaney Babin, Joy Babin and Alexandra Ward; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Theresa''s love for her hometown, Lake Charles, and her church, Sacred Heart, remained as if she never left. She retained her membership in her church and the Ladies Auxiliary-St. Rita Court #31.

With her words of wisdom regarding family values and friendships, Theresa touched the lives of many during her life. Her love, beautiful smile and hugs will surely be missed by many.

Service date: Jan. 21, 2016

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery under the direction of Combre Funeral Home. Visitation is from 8 a.m. to 10:45 Thursday in the funeral home.
