Theresa Marie Richard Cormier went to sleep in her heavenly father''s arms on April 20, 2014 at noon. Theresa was a resident of Lake Charles for 66 years. She graduated from Washington High School. Theresa worked at Mill Street Elementary for 2 years, and Robinswood for 29 years.

Theresa enjoyed family. She loved cooking and baking for her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, whom she showered with love. Theresa loved making all children smile. She also enjoyed traveling with her family. Theresa was well loved amongst her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Eugene Joseph Cormier, of 44 years; two sons Craig Joseph (Meka T.) Cormier, Christopher Tyson (Malissa L.) Cormier, and grandchildren Ashley Nicole Jackson, Kyler A. Miller, Kailey Malissa Cormier, Craig Joseph Cormier Jr., and Madison L. Cormier; ten siblings Henry M. (Mary Ann) Richard, Josephine S. Richard, Sarella M. (Ray) Kately, Janell Richard, Justine M. (Ronald) Franklin, Percy T. (Bridgette) Richard, Eddie L. (Sophia) Richard, Ronald M. Richard, Geraldine M. (David) Babineaux, and Christine A. (AV) Dixon; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Martin C. and Mable C. Richard, her grandparents, one brother James Joseph Richard, granddaughter Kailey M. Cormier, and a niece Stephanie M. Richard Moore.
