Thomas AJ Batiste Jr. was born on July 16, 1945, in Lake Charles, La. to Thomas AJ Batiste Sr. and Mary Lee (Jones) Batiste.

Thomas attended Sacred Heart of Jesus Elementary School, then WO Boston High School.

He was drafted in the US Army in January 1969; after training, served in Vietnam, returning 25 Aug 1970.

Thomas met Linda Kay White in 2004, after being together for 17years, he declared that "I'm going to marry this woman before I die", on the 22nd day of September 2021, Thomas married the "Love of his Life".

Thomas was called home on Thursday September 19th, 2024.

Survivors include his wife Linda K.,

son: Laney Washington, daughter: Roshone Tyler

and stepchildren: Krystal White, Dyakaye White, Tristin White and Bartley White, to which he was a fatherly figure from a very young age, and whom he loved dearly.

Brother: Arnold C. Batiste Sr. Sister: Debra Cecilia Batiste Delafosse.

He was preceded in death by both parents; sister: Harriet Marie Batiste; brothers: Kenneth Joseph-Wayne Batiste and Mark Anthony Batiste.
