Todd Everett McArthur was born June 13, 1963, to the union of James McArthur and Eula McArthur in Creole, LA. His parents moved from Cameron to Lake Charles, LA., when he was about one-year-old.

Our brother was the "GOATA" of this family. He was the "Greatest Of All Time Athlete." He loved sports, but especially football. He played football at Lake Charles High School and earned a partial scholarship to McNeese State University, where he excelled in the defensive backfield from 1981-1984. He was a four-year starter for the Cowboys, totaling 15 career pass interceptions. That total ranks him fourth on the McNeese all-time list. In 2018, McArthur was one of 26 defensive backs named to the McNeese football 75th-Anniversary Team. In 1987, Todd earned his Bachelor Degree in Physical Education from MSU. He also obeyed the gospel at Mill Street Church of Christ at very young age.

The Most-High God, sent His Angels to give Todd rest from this life on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at the age of 57. According to the medical examiners, he passed away due to complications from a blood clot.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James D. McArthur and Eula M. McArthur; fraternal grandfather, Thomas McArthur; fraternal grandmother, Rosie McArthur Brown; maternal grandfather, Noah Bartie (Bessie); maternal grandmother, Bessie Bartie Rankins (Ozemae); Two brothers: Nathaniel Waltz and Kevin Ware.
