Lake Charles - Vance Joseph ("Teeny") Charles, 63, died Sunday, October 4, 2015 in a local hospital.

Vance was born on November 11, 1951 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Wallace, Sr. and Dorothy Celestine Charles. He was a life long resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was a retired professional painter.

Survivors include his parents, Wallace, Sr. and Dorothy Celestine Charles of Iowa, LA; his wife, Marcella Caesar Charles of Lake Charles; two daughters, Brandy Charles of Houston, TX and Candice (Henry) Henderson of Humble, TX, two brothers, Wallace "Bay" (Mary Nell) Charles, Jr. of Iowa, LA and Reginald (Monica) Charles of Houston, TX; three sisters, Shirley Charles and Sherell (Raynard) Kennison, Sr. both of Lake Charles, LA and Lillian (Richard) Hardy, Sr. of Sulphur, LA; four step-grandchildren, Tarique, Nadia, Lalia and Aaron Henderson.

Service date: October 10, 2015

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015, at St. Henry''s Catholic Church, Lake Charles, LA at 10:00 a.m. Msgr. Daniel A. Torres will officiate. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park, Lake Charles, LA under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.Visitation will be held Friday, October 9, 2015, at Combre Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m.
