On Thursday, June 16, 2016, Victor DeWayne Pea departed this earthly life. We thank God for the life and legacy of our beloved Victor.

Victor was born to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lee (Irma Jean) Pea on October 19, 1964. He was baptized at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church at a young age.

He attended Sacred Heart School, graduated from Washington High School, then attended Southern University, and Sowela Technical Institute where he graduated as an aircraft mechanic. Along with these studies, he also attended McNeese University.

Victor touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity; and maintained his trademark sense of comedic humor all the way to the end. He loved life, his family, traveling, music, football and cooking. He was the chef for his family and friends. He also enjoyed working on lawnmowers and four-wheelers. Victor''s pastime was riding four-wheelers, horses and jet-skies.

"Love beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things". The very essence of that love will remain constant in the hearts and minds of his parents, Mr. Joe Lee and Irma Jean Pea; two daughters, Kwinetta Semien, Victoria Pea, and one son, Jonathan Levier. Godparents, Dr. and Mrs. Curman Gaines; one brother, Michael McGowan; one sister, Tawanna McGowan Bellard; godchildren, Lemark and Isaac Gibson. Grandsons, Josiah, Micah, Isaac and Drayon. Special friend, Joyce Davis; his Fort Worth, Texas family; and a host of uncles, aunts, relatives and friends.

In the Sanctuary of the Messiah Missionary Baptist Churc there will be the Visitation Hours from 9:00 AM - 12:00 Noon. A Celebration Service will be at 12:00 Noon.
