Obituary

Lake Charles, LA – Willard Lee Rideaux, 77 was called home on Friday, November 17, 2017, in a local hospital.

He was a native of Opelousas, La and he moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana at an early age.  He was a graduate of Washington High School and a retired Salesman with Sears Roebuck for nearly 30 years.

After retirement he traveled with his wife and later with his brothers.

He enjoyed singing, drawing, traveling, eating sugar popcorn while watching his westerns, spending time with his family and telling stories to his grandchildren. He was also an avid card and domino player.

He was proceeded in death by his Father, Benjamin Rideaux Sr., his mother Hattie Batiste Rideaux, his wife Shirley Ann Rideaux, his brothers, Jerry Rideaux, Benjamin Rideaux, Ray Rideaux and Robert Rideaux.

He is survived by his children; Gwendolyn (John Edmund) Guillory; Tangerla (Rickey) Carter of Crosby TX, Willard Troy (Indiana) Rideaux and Latoya Rideaux; One Brother, Ozie (Johnnie) Rideaux and One Sister; Patsy (Arthur) James. One Brother in Law, Larry (Velma) Guillory of Crosby, TX, two sister-in laws, Elizabeth Guillory of Crosby TX, Gloria Guillory of Los Angelos, CA; one Aunt Shirley Currette of Crosby, TX and his Godmother, Lou Ella Garrison of New Orleans , LA.  He has 11 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
