Willie Valerie departed this life on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, surrounded by family at the Calcasieu Community Care Center.  He was born on January 28, 1934, in Welsh, Louisiana to Alexander and Annie (Allison) Valerie. He lived in Lake Charles, over 70 years.  Willie was united in holy matrimony to Vivian (Leger) Valerie for 59 years and from this union 6 children were born. He was employed with Borden's Inc for many years and with Alcoa for 16 years where he retired in January 2000       .

He was a longtime devoted member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Willie was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Peter Claver Council 31 for 67 years and a 4th Degree member for 14 years where he received several awards for Man of the Year and service to the organization.

He was preceded in death by his wife Vivian Valerie, his children Patrick Valerie, Christopher Valerie and Deadra Logan.

He leaves to cherish his memory three children. Peggy Rimbert (Suwanee, GA), Gerald Valerie (Lake Charles), and Gladys Valerie (Lawrenceville, GA), one brother William (Barbara)Valerie (Katy, TX), nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation is Saturday, July 5,2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:40 a.m in Combre Funeral Home with his funeral following at 11:00 a.m. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
