Wilton LeDay 93 was born in Chatagnier, Louisiana to Fred LeDay and Edna Fontenot. He was one of ten children, his siblings Charley Leday, Werlin LeDay, Genenieve Sibley, and Georgie Norling preceded him in death, and 5 remaining siblings Rose Todd of Houston Texas, Regis LeDet of Florida, Raymond LeDay of Church Point, Louisiana, Ruby Boullard of Iowa Louisiana, and Shirley Johnson of Georgia.

In 1949 Wilton married Hattie Boutte, from this union six children were conceived, Bertha LeDay (Willis) Papillion, Brenda LeDay Love, Sandra LeDay Moais, Charlet LeDay Sterling, Nancy LeDay (Flynnoid) Jones, and Sheila LeDay Brooks. Wilton loved his family and friends. He loved to cook and plant a small garden for years.

He worked for George Theriots for a few years, then went to work as a laborer. He belonged to Local #207 (Laborers Union).

He will truly be missed by his 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
